Gideon Toal Management Services (GTMS) was one of several recipients to receive the Champions of Diversity Award at DFW International Airport’s Success through Opportunities Access and Resources (SOAR) Conference recently held at the Irving Convention Center.
The Champions of Diversity Award reflects diversity to its fullest potential. Those companies that are selected understand that to succeed in today’s competitive market, diversity must be reflected in every aspect of their business operations and relationships. The Champions of Diversity Awards Luncheon celebrates companies in the industry areas of goods, services, design/construction and concessions. GTMS received the award in the Concessions category. Earlier this year, GTMS expanded its national reach. Late last year, GTMS won management contracts in two new locations: in Ft. Lauderdale and Columbus Ohio.
The newest GTMS venture into the concessions space – The Bridge Travel Essentials, will offer travel essentials such as fresh grab and go food items, electronics, health and beauty products, beverages and other travel items and will open in the fall at the DFW International Airport Terminal A.
“I would like to thank DFW Concessions and the Business Development Department for selecting Gideon Toal Management Services for the 2023 Champions of Diversity Award,” states GTMS President Alvin Brown, “Diversity has a significant impact on organizational culture because it increases retention and reduces turnover. We nurture, respect and value the individual contributions of our highly diverse workforce. “
Based in Fort Worth, GTMS operates airport lounges for 11 locations in 8 domestic U.S. airports including Dallas-Fort Worth International, Orlando International, Las Vegas International and has earned eight prestigious aviation awards for exceptional customer service since 2014.
